Bhagwant Mann says will only contest against Sukhbir Badal

BARI WALA (MUKTSAR): Star campaigner of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann on said that he will fight against Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal only.
He said that if the deputy CM decides to contest from any constituency other than Jalalabad, then he will also file nominations from the same constituency. He was addressing a gathering in Bari Wala town of Muktsar district here. Mann is on a campaign trail and trying to woo voters with his wit and oratory skills across the state. Jaskirat Kaur Mann, convener, NRI Cell, AAP, also accompanied Bhagwant Mann.
While talking to mediapersons, Bhagwant said that on the issue of SYL, AAP has nothing to hide. He said that the AAP will not allow a single drop of water to be taken from Punjab.
In his own sarcastic and humorous manner, Maan alleged that the Badals and Captain Amarinder Singh were hand-ingloves. He said that they both fear that if the AAP forms the government, they won’t be able to reap the fruits of forming government which they were doing since decades.
Jaskirat also addressed the gathering and asked them to bring along women during the meetings. She said that women play a major role in the society and they should be politically active.
AAP candidate from Muktsar Jagdeep Singh Brar and Malout candidate Baldev Singh were also present during the public meet. However, fractions in Muktsar unit of AAP came to fore as local leaders of Bari Wala chose to give the rally a miss.
A supporter on the condition of anonymity said that local unit of the town was not happy with the candidate as he has never worked on the ground level.
Rajinder, a labourer at the Anaj Mandi, said that he finished his work early so that he can listen to Bhagwant Mann. Many people at the gathering said that Mann is an excellent orator and they love to listen to him irrespective of their political affiliations.
