Chandigarh : Ravinder Singh Ghubaya, son of SAD MP Sher Singh Ghubaya from Ferozepur is the one, who according to sources, raised the banner of revolt against Shiromani Akali Dal leaders in Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal’s citadel at Jalalabad (W) segment recently.

The IIT Roorkie passout stated that some Akali leaders have tarnished the image of his father in last five years and MP has been completely sidelined by sand cartel.

He said that son of former SAD MP Jora Singh Mann’s son and SAD candidate from Guruharsahai Vardev Mann (Nonni) and Officer on Special Duty Jalalabad Satinderjeet Singh Manta have joined hands to loot region of its natural resources. He further added that the duo have created bottlenecks in the developmental works pushed ahead by his father.

On being asked about his chances of joining Congress, junior Ghubaya quipped that he has left everything up to his father and will tow his line. However, his answer on supporting election campaign of Sukhbir in Jalalabad (W) segment will be enough for SAD to understand that damage has been done beyond repair. “On what basis will we seek votes from people of Jalalabad as nothing concrete has been done on the ground? Selfish interests were put before collective interests by some of the party men,” added junior Ghubaya.

Rai-Sikh community in this border district has been playing a major role in deciding the fate of candidates. Earlier, in the day Sher Singh Ghubaya refuted the news about his joining the Congress but stopped short on speaking about the decision of his son and family members. Even he stated that some bad elements in SAD were behind all this mess and he had been singled out.
