SIRHIND: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann has alleged that deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal was behind the Nabha jailbreak “because he wants the shooters to kill me and (AAP supremo ) Arvind Kejriwal”. Six inmates, including gangsters and Khalistani militant Harminder Singh Mintoo, who has since been recaptured, had escaped from the jail on November 27 when a group of armed men stormed the jail.

Within 15 minutes of the incident, Sukhbir claimed that Pakistan was behind it. How did he get to know about it in 15 minutes?” Mann, who has been declared as AAP candidate against Sukhbir in the assembly polls, asked at a rally in Sirhind, held to campaign for party candidate Lakhvir Singh Rai from Fatehgarh Sahib. “Pakistan da hath ni, tera hi hath hai Sukhbir seyan (Not Pakistan, you, Sukhbir Singh, have a hand in it)... Eh shooters nu kadd rahe ne ke Bhagwant Mann nu mar deo, Kejriwal nu mar deo (They are freeing shooters to get Kejriwal and me killed).”

‘DON’T WANT TO ATTEND PARLIAMENT’

About the controversy over a video he shot at Parliament, Mann said that he had made the video to show how MPs have to rely on fate (draw of lots) to ask questions in the House. “They (government) considered it a crime and barred me just because I ask questions. However, I do not want go back,” he said.
