Chandigarh : Disgruntled Shiromani Akali Dal MP from Ferozepur Sher Singh Ghubaya on Thursday evening met Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at Chandigarh. Speaking over the phone, the MP said that even the CM is not happy with latest developments which are being done at the behest of those closely associated with Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Ghubaya retorted that he even informed the CM that he is a party loyalist but has been singled out and sidelined in the party. The MP added that he is receiving threatening phone calls to either fall in line or investigation and false cases will be marked against him. “Those in power can misuse their authority but cannot dent my image and credibility among the masses. I-T Department raid on my college situated at Sukhera Bodla at Jalalabad was the outcome of some vested interests,” quipped the MP.

He further stated that he sought the ticket for his son Davinder Singh from either Jalalabad or Fazilka segment from SAD and the party rejected his request. Ghubaya stated that he cannot comment at present over his son joining the Congress but cannot rule out anything in near future. Ghubaya said that after December 15, he will visit his constituency and seek opinion of his supporters to draw further course of action.

Davinder Singh Ghubaya, son of Sher Singh Ghubaya, who was also travelling along with him did not rule out contesting from Fazilka either on Congress ticket or as an independent.
