Pargat slams SAD candidate over development claims

JALANDHAR:Congress leader Pargat Singh on Thursday took a dig at Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Sarabjit Singh Makkar on taking credit for development of various wards.

In a press statement, Pargat criticised Sarabjit Singh Makkar for ‘befooling’ people by announcing various development works.

Singh noted that during the press conference that was recently held by SAD candidate, the latter had claimed that during the sangat darshan, he had succeeded in getting sanction of development fund worth ₹5.5 crore from chief minister Parkash Singh Badal for the up gradation of seven wards.
