Congress shows united face in Atam Nagar, Karwal gets support of annoyed leaders

Ludhiana : The Congress candidate from Atam Nagar constituency Kamaljit Singh Karwal gets major boost with the support of two block Presidents who were earlier against the ticket to Karwal.

Block Presidents from Atam Nagar, Yadwinder Singh Raju and Rajinder Singh Bajwa joined the campaigning of Karwal and organised election meetings in his favor. Earlier, both block Presidents were demanding ticket for Kulwant Singh Sidhu and were upset with Party high command. However Karwal visited the party leaders and later they announced to support Congress party. Gurdeep Kaur, who was also a contender for the party ticket has supported Kamaljit Karwal.

Rajinder Bajwa and Yadwinder Singh Raju said that they were loyal soldiers of party and will support Congress candidate.

Kamaljit Singh Karwal said that the leaders, workers and residents of Atam Nagar constituency are giving their full support in campaigning. His opponents are fearful about their defeat and are spreading rumors of revolt in party. Karwal said that the people were fed up with sitting MLA and have decided to show them a way out. The people are eagerly waiting for February 4 to elect Congress party.
