NewDelhi: Amid reports of an AAP activist being allegedly shot by Shiromani Akali Dal workers, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday accused Punjab Police of taking orders from Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal despite Model Code of Conduct being in place.

“Punjab DGP Suresh Arora is still taking orders from Sukhbir Badal. Deliberately allowing SAD-BJP ‘goons free-run,” Kejriwal tweeted. Along with his tweet, Kejriwal also shared a photo of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Youth Coordinator Ruby Brar who sustained a bullet injury in Rampura Phul in Bathinda district of Punjab. He also alleged that frisking and police checking had reduced in Punjab and Goa to facilitate distribution of money and alcohol just before the polling day.

“Police checking all over Punjab substantially reduced in last two days. Free unobstructed movement of alcohol and money,” Kejriwal added.Kejriwal asked if the Election Commission had reduced frisking in both Goa and Punjab “on purpose”.
