Fazilka : Congress candidate from the Fazilka segment Davinder Singh Ghubaya along with other Congress leaders met Fazilka SSP Ketan Baliram Patil over deteriorating the law and order situation in the Fazilka district headquarters today.

Ghubaya, along with Block Congress Committee president Surinder Kalra and senior Congress leaders Roshan Lal Khunger, Davinder Sachdeva, Sukhjit Singh Rai, Dharam Pal Gandhi, Bao Ram and others, handed over the memorandum to the SSP. The Congress expressed concern over spurt in cases of theft, looting, snatching and demanded a check on crime.

“Repeated incidents of crime have left the residents scared. The police should enhance patrolling in the town,” they demanded.

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
