Rana Gurjit reviews wheat procurement arrangements

Kapurthala: Power Minister Rana Gurjit on Tuesday asserted that Congress government is committed to take care of every section in society including farmers, commission agents, laboures and transporters during wheat procurement season.
The minister batted for co-ordination between commission agents and procurement agencies to complete the procurement procedure in a systematic manner. He also took stock of gunny bags and stated that one can simply feel and see the change after the change in the government. DC, Kapurthala Mohammad Tyyab apprised that 42 purchase centres have been established across the district. He said that last year 3.34 lakh MT wheat was procured and this year 3.67 lakh MT wheat is expected to arrive.
