Recognise 1984 riots as genocide: Phoolka to Modi

Chandigarh: Leader of the Opposition in Vidhan Sabha and senor advocate H S Phoolka has welcomed the resolution passed by Ontario assembly, terming the killings as genocide. Phoolka, who has been fighting the cases of 1984 riot victims in Delhi and elsewhere, said it was state-sponsored terrorism carried out with the active involvement of state agencies.
Many Hindu families saved the Sikhs, claimed Pholka saying that that he himself was saved and secured by a Hindu family during the riots. Phoolka has asked the Narendra Modi-led NDA government to recognise the riots as genocide and punish the guilty.
