Chandigarh : Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday lashed out at the officials of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Sports Ministry, accompanying the athletes to South Korea for the ongoing Asian games, for not standing by Sarita Devi, who was denied an opportunity to play the finals because of an intentionally malicious judgment to favour host country boxer Park Jina.

Chandigarh : A large number of government and private educational institutes of the state are awaiting refund of fees on account of students belonging to the SC/ST category under the Centre's post-matriculate scholarship scheme. Over two lakh SC/ST students are studying in 4,403 government and private educational institutes of the state.
