‘Will sell surplus power to Pakistan and Nepal’

Kapurthala : Power and Irrigation Minister Punjab Rana Gurjeet Singh on Saturday reiterated that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government will fulfill its commitment of providing cheap power to the people besides waiving off the farmers’ loan.

Rana Gurjeet Singh said that Punjab has enough power supply to meet the peak requirements in the months of June, July, August and September. “State has surplus power in the rest of the year which can be sold to the other states or countries like Pakistan and Nepal. He said that if permitted Punjab government will sell surplus power to Nepal and Pakistan.

Replying to a query regarding rejection of Sacrilege law by Union Government, the minister said that SAD-BJP government a made fool of people earlier and now Captain Amarinder will make an act competent enough and common for all religions to check the unfortunate incidents of sacrileges.

Meanwhile, Rana Gurjeet Singh also interacted with farmers to know their grievances and informed the farmers that Punjab Government has planned to provide insecticides, pesticides and fertilizers to the farmers in grain markets.
