Controversy over SAD new halqa in-charge

Fatehgarh Sahib: Controversy erupted over the appointment of Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) new halqa in-charge of Fatehgarh Sahib constituency, as former Sirhind MLA Didar Singh Bhatti claimed that the party high command had made him new constituency in-charge while SAD district president Jagdeep Singh Cheema maintained that the party high command was yet to take a decision.
Talking to mediapersons on Thursday, Didar Singh Bhatti, senior Akali leader Ranjit Singh Libra, District Youth Akali Dal president Ajay Singh Libra, former Municipal Council Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib president Gurwinder Singh Bhatti claimed that SAD president Sukhbir Badal had appointed Didar Bhatti as the constituency in-charge.
When contacted SAD district chief Jagdeep Singh Cheema for confirmation of Bhatti’s appointment, Cheema saidmaintained that it was up to the party high command to decide.
Cheema said the party high command is yet to decide on the issue as Anandpur Sahib MP Prem Singh Chandumajra is not here, adding the decision will be made after his return.
