Bajwa: Every district to have in-charge

Ropar : In order to rein in dissent among party workers and better co-ordination among them and party high command, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) will appoint in-charge for every district. The list has been finalised and the names of in-charges for all the districts will be announced within a day or two, said PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa here on Tuesday.
Bajwa said that the in-charges would send monthly reports of block level and district level activities of the party workers. “The party will evaluate progress of members on the basis of the reports,” he said.
The PPCC chief said the names of candidates for the upcoming civic body elections would be finalised only after the recommendation of the district in-charges, he added.
