Sodhi demands assembly session on terror attack

CHANDIGARH: Guru Har Sahai legislator Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi on Friday demanded an emergency session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on the preparedness of the Punjab Police in the wake of terror attack.
In a statement here, he said: “The Punjab Congress will take to streets if the government fails to call the session of the state assembly. The chief minister should tell the people whether the state police are prepared and equipped to tackle terror attacks,” Sodhi said.
He said the police stations in Punjab were virtually without staff as most of the cops were on VIP duty.
