Morinda : Youth of Punjab will play a significant role in the election manifesto of the Punjab Pradesh Congress in the coming Vidhan Sabha elections.
Giving the appointment letters to the Youth Congress and senior Congress members of Morinda and Chamkaur Sahib on Sunday. S Charanjit Singh Channi, Leader of Opposition and MLA Chamkaur Sahib said that the Congress Party would hear the voice of youth of Punjab. Not only this, it will take up the youth agenda in its manifesto and then will implement the agenda when the government is formed. The youth is the driving force now-a-days and the Congress Party will address their core issues. Unemployment, drugs, technical education, scholarships, hi tech gadget operations, sports are the key areas which the party will be looking into for the youth of Punjab.
The unfulfilled dreams shown by the Akali - BJP Government towards the youth of Punjab will be highlighted and these issues will be taken in Vidhan Sabha session as well.
S Channi distributed letters to the newly appointed Youth Congress and senior Congress members from 40 villages of Chamkaur Sahib and Morinda. As many as eleven member committees have been formed in every village of the constituency to make the participation of youth and senior members more proactive. Channi appealed to the newly appointed members to strengthen the party base in their respective villages against the communal forces. He said that only Congress Party has the vision for the youth of Punjab.
Lauding the initiative taken by Captain Amarinder Singh, president, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Channi said that the youth interactions across the state have been very successful and it has already created fear in the mind of opposition parties.
He said that Captain Amarinder Singh will address the youth workers and the block level committee members of the Congress Party belonging to Chamkaur Sahib Constituency on February 19.
He also appealed to the youth to come out in maximum numbers and make the programme a big success.
