MOGA: A day after Bathinda member of Parliament (MP) and Union food processing minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal sought declassification of documents related to Operation Bluestar, Congress leader Manpreet Badal asked her to first declassify papers related to her family’s assets, which, he said, were multiplying every year. Manpreet was here to take stock of the wheat procurement.

“How is it possible? Are they cousins of Bill Gates or have they studied from some special university that the wealth of Harsimrat and chief minister Badal is going up by crores every year?” Manpreet said.

“Manpreet te Sukhbir tan ikko parivar de bande si... eh kive ho sakda ohde kol arban di jaydad hove te mai lakha ch hi aa…bas ehi fark hai ki mai sarkari khzaane di loot ni kiti te haram de paise val nai jhankea (Manpreet and Sukhbir were from the same family... how is it possible that Sukhbir has earned crores and my assets are still in lakhs...The only difference is that I didn’t loot the government exchequer or cared for the ill-gotten money),” he said.

Manpreet said people have now understood the ‘tamasha’ of SAD government that has the habit of raising such issues during elections to take the public glare off the real issues. “This, however, is going to be Akali Dal’s last ‘tamasha’,” Manpreet said.
