CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday vowed to probe alleged policepolitician-criminal nexus in the Nabha jailbreak if voted to power. AAP’s Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann said in a statement here that the party had already expressed apprehensions of political patronage to the gangsters who escaped from the Nabha jail.

He said the interrogation of key accused Gurpreet Singh Sekhon had revealed the gangsters remained active after their escape. Alleging cops did not make arrests under political pressure, Mann said: “The police has taken swift action in this case only after the influence of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal was neutralised.”
