CHANDIGARH:“I cannot work under the leadership of a person who has been appointed on the condition that he will not drink (liquor),” said actor-politician Gurpreet Singh Waraich ‘Ghuggi’ as he resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, two days after he was replaced as the Punjab unit convener to make way for Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann.

Chandigarh : Former convener of Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab unit, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi on Wednesday resigned from the primary membership of the party, expressing displeasure over the process of Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann’s appointment as the new state unit chief. He said the entire election process of appointing the new state chief was ‘fake and unfair’ and said the party adopted a ‘pick and choose policy’ while inviting members for the election to the post.
