BATHINDA: A day after Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh put his lock on the door of strongroom where the electronic voting machines (EVMs) of Lambi constituency have been kept before the counting of votes on March 11, the Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday said the move has legal sanctity.

Chandigarh : The Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday claimed to have made elaborate arrangements to conduct re-polling at all 48 polling stations in five assembly constituencies of Punjab on Thursday in a peaceful manner. The re-polling was ordered at theses polling station on Tuesday due to malfunctioning of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter-verified audit paper trail (VVPAT) during Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections on February 4.
