Gurdaspur : Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu took up the cudgels on behalf of Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar by holding an impressive rally at the Hanuman chowk, right in the heart of the city, and urged the gathering not to be swayed by “glamour and stardom” and instead caste votes in the name of developmental initiatives taken by Jakhar even since he was elected MP in a byelection in 2017.

Patiala/Dera Bassi May 16 Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday categorically said that Chandigarh was and would remain Punjab’s capital and Haryana could build its own separate capital city with its own money. The CM was interacting with the media in Patiala. Pitching for a BJP-mukt Bharat to protect the country’s unity and future, Captain Amarinder expressed confidence that UPA-3 would take over the nation’s reins to prevent its secular fabric from being destroyed and to bring it back on the path of development.
