CHANDIGARH: Former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday sought the Election Commission’s (EC) intervention against chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal for their schedule to unfurl the national flag on August 15 at Patiala and Bathinda, respectively, in view of the by-elections a week later.

New Delhi : Former BJP leader Jaswant Singh (76) is in coma after suffering a fall at his residence. He was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital with a head injury early this morning and his condition was stated to be “very critical”.
