Chandigarh : Lieutenant General (retd) Tejwant Singh Gill was on Tuesday sworn in as chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) by Punjab Governor Shivraj Vishwanath Patil at a brief ceremony held at Punjab Raj Bhavan here.

Chandigarh : The PSERC has slapped a fine of Rs 107.27 crore on the PSPCL for failing to achieve its targets. In its order, the PSERC said that the PSPCL failed to implement various directives, which impacted consumer services as well as performance of the utility.

Chandigarh : Power consumers in Punjab will now have to pay an additional 11-13 paisa per unit on electricity they consume. The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) today announced the revised power tariff for the current financial year.
