CHANDIGARH: More than a month after he was removed from the powerful local bodies department, Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday posted his resignation on social media, effectively closing a chapter in his protracted battle with state chief minister Amarinder Singh.

Chandigarh/SAS Nagar : To end the water woes of Mohali residents, the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has awarded a contract to Germany based company M/s. Veolia (India) Pvt. Ltd. for setting up a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in village Sinhpur to augment supply of treated canal water from Bhakhra Main Line.
