Abohar: Chief spokesperson of the Congress and Abohar MLA Sunil Jakhar on Thursday held a protest, along with other Congress workers outside the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) here. Jakhar alleged that Blue Cards of needy persons were not made by the government officials. Besides, the subsidised atta, dal and other facilities were not provided to the poor, needy and eligible persons, he added.

Hoshiarpur : The Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee will give legal aid to all affected victims of the Piplanwala land scam, which was unearthed recently, in which more than Rs 100 crore were minted by a few Akali leaders by grabbing the land of villagers. Visiting the village on Wednesday, leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Charanjit Singh Channi, along with Sham Sunder Arora, MLA Hoshiarpur, met those affected and listened to their grievances.
