Chandigarh : Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday made a passionate appeal to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce one rank one pension (OROP) for the veterans, reminding him that when the country was celebrating the golden jubilee of the 1965 war and rightly glorifying the performance and achievements of its armed forces, it cannot treat the veterans, who are the same people who won the country that war, with such an appalling apathy and indifference.
