Chandigarh : The Punjab Congress Legislature Party leader Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday demanded that Right to Service Commission should be scrapped immediately as it is a huge burden on the public exchequer. The cash strapped Badal government recently appointed seven more Commissioners with already five in place. Even to add more these new appointments didn’t have my consent for which now public interest litigation is already in Punjab and Haryana High court. Right to Service Commission’s output was negligible as compared to financial inputs involved.

Chandigarh : The Punjab Congress on Thursday accused Badal government of plunging the state into total anarchy with its patronization of criminal activities and double standards. Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) said the total lawlessness prevailing in Punjab is a direct consequence of Badal government’s anti-people and pro-criminal policies.

Chandigarh : With the Aap Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress pursuing talks with cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu over his joining either of the two parties, the former BJP MP, who recently floated Awaaz-e-Punjab forum, seems to be sailing in two boats. On Thursday AAP leaders claimed that talks were on with Sidhu.
