Abohar : While the state Cabinet has given a nod to amend fiscal incentives for industrial promotion (revised)-2013 thereby considering incentives like exemption from mandi fee/rural development fee already given to mega basmati processing units under the “Invest Punjab” scheme, hundreds of small manufacturers and exporters of basmati in the state have been ignored.

New Delhi : The Congress today reiterated its stand on former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu saying he is welcome to join the party unconditionally. Party spokesperson and former MP Manish Tewari also said it was for Sidhu to spell out where he was going and where he was interested in going.

New Delhi : The Supreme Court today held there was no evidence to show that Navjot Singh Sidhu had exceeded the Rs 25 lakh cap on election expenses while contesting the Amritsar Lok Sabha poll in 2009, but directed him to face the charge of taking the help of a government official for his campaign.
