Chandigarh : Congress MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra today demanded a Vigilance probe against the transport officials who had allegedly allowed illegal operations of private buses during the 10-year Akali-BJP rule.

CHANDIGARH: CM Capt Amarinder Singh said in the assembly on Friday the transport department and vigilance officials had conducted checking over the past two weeks and found 401 buses defaulting. As transport minister, he was responding to a call-attention motion by the Congress MLA from Fatehgarh Sahib, Kuljit Singh Nagra, who asked about buses being plied without permits and registration certificates. The CM also said the government is making a policy after which “everyone has to fall in line”.
