Waste management firms’ work to be reviewed, says Sidhu

CHANDIGARH :Punjab local bodies minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday said an assessment of the work being carried out by solid waste management companies in the state will be carried out and those doing well will be given more such projects.

Chandigarh : Local Government Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu here on Friday presided over a meeting with commissioners of all the 10 Municipal Corporations of the state and reviewed the arrangements with regard to smooth functioning of solid waste management projects and ensuring clean and hygienic look for the cities and towns. The meeting was attended by Adviser to the department Dr Amar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Satish Chandra, Director K K Yadav and Chief Engineer A S Dhaliwal.
