Amritsar : Chief Parliamentary Secretary-cum-MLA Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah for conducting an inquiry of scam in disbursement of compensation to 1984 anti-Sikh riot victims and asked them to directly intervene in the matter of compensation provided by the Prime Minister Office on June 2006 to the victims.

Patiala : Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh on Saturday lashed out at the Punjab government for its failure to make payments to the farmers for their paddy crop. He said even after one month of their crops having been procured, the farmers were yet to receive any money.
