CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government on Sunday ordered a security clampdown across the state as a precautionary measure in view of Monday’s bandh by a number of Dalit organisations to protest the alleged dilution of the SC/ST Act.

Chandigarh(DP Correspondent): AAP Rajya Sabha member and former in-charge of Punjab affairs Sanjay Singh to appear before the Amritsar court, tomorrow, on April 2. Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leader Ashish Khaitan had submitted their apology in a local court in the defamation case, in which Majithia had also made Sanjay Singh a party.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab’s cultural affairs minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday announced that the state government has decided to constitute a Punjab Sabhyachaar (culture) Commission to check “obscenity and vulgarity”, and the “glorification of drugs and violence”, in Punjabi songs.
