MANSA: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said that suspended MPs Dharamvira Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa would not be invited to the Maghi Mela rally at Muktsar on January 14. With a view to mobilising the public for the rally, Mann attended three meetings in Mansa district.

CHANDIGARH: The election to the president of the BJP Punjab unit scheduled for January 10 was postponed at the eleventh hour on Saturday evening. Though no new date for the election was announced, it is learnt that the election would now take place after January 16, after the election to the national party president is over.

Patiala : Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday warned of a similar terror strike as he claimed that Punjab was not at all prepared for an attack if the terrorists decide to target some civilian installation. “The state, due to its long border along Pakistan — part of which has proved to be porous, needs to take its vulnerability seriously,” he said.
