Punjab govt setup 3-member panel to help in potato, maize marketing. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has set up a three-member committee to work out a marketing strategy for the benefit of maize and potato farmers in the state. The committee, comprising ACS (Cooperation), ACS (Development) and Chairman, The Punjab State Farmers Commission, has been asked to submit its report by March 1, 2018.

Ludhiana: Six nomination papers of the candidates were rejected on Thursday during the scrutiny of the total 754 nominations filed for Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Elections. Now, a total of 747 candidates are in the fray for the elections as one of the candidates from Ward Number 41 has filed his nomination two times.
