Fatehgarh Sahib : Panchayats of at least 27 villages of the district may be elected unanimously. Deputy Commissioner Arun Sekhri said 15 panchayats in Bassi Pathanan block, seven in Khera, two in Amloh and three in Khamanon could be elected without any contest, though the official announcement would be made only after the withdrawal of nomination papers.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab’s medical education and research department headed by minister Chunni Lal Bhagat has failed to formally decide whether to regularise the admissions of over 450 students enrolled in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course-2012 in 11 private colleges and allow them to sit in the first-year examination beginning on Wednesday.
