New Delhi : The Congress is all set to challenge Akalis in the crucial Khadoor Sahib Assembly bypoll to be held on February 13, with the party officially declaring the candidature of Ramanjit Singh Sikki for the contest.

Abohar:Senior Congress leader Sunil Jakhar attacked the state government for failing to keep its promise of resuming the atta-dal scheme from January. The scheme was discontinued nearly two years ago. Jakhar alleged Finance Minister Parminder Dhindsa on December 2 announced that Rs100 crore had been sanctioned for dal to be distributed from January to March. He said but the government failed to keep its promise.

CHANDIGARH: Even as the Congress is yet to announce its candidate for the Khadoor Sahib bypoll, former MP and senior party leader Jagmeet Brar on Saturday announced that he would tour the constituency for two days starting Monday “to analyse and introspect on the current situation and appraise the party high command about it”.
