Sangrur : Around 30 Congress workers, led by Punjab Youth Congress general secretary Poonam Kangra, were taken into preventive custody today at Mahavir Chowk near the Civil Hospital here while they were heading to gherao Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. Amritsar : Congress leader and Amritsar MP Capt Amarinder Singh on Saturday cautioned Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh against being misled by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his Deputy Chief Minister son Sukhbir Singh Badal on the issue of a separate SGPC for Haryana. “It would be better if the government of India keeps off the matter,” he warned.
