Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today asserted that exchanging social courtesies with the political rivals did not mean cessation of the strong differences with them. Replying to a question about his sharing dais with the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal recently in Chandigarh, he remarked, certain social occasions require certain courtesies which need to be observed and the matter ends there.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today made an impassioned plea for a broader consensus between different political parties so that with the change of government policies are not changed for partisan interests at the cost of state interests. He promised that his party’s government will ensure that no project passed by this government is cancelled or investors harassed just because they invested during the current regime.
