GST to benefit Punjab? FM Dhindsa not as sure as Capt

CHANDIGARH: Congress deputy leader in the Lok Sabha Captain Amarinder Singh has created ripples in political circles by going against his party line to hail the goods and service (GST) bill, saying Punjab would suffer the most by stalling of the bill in Parliament. Punjab finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, however, does not seem to share the former CM’s optimism.

Ropar : The clean chit by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the police to a Dabwali Transport Company’s bus in last month’s accident case has received flak from the opposition Congress party and members of the legal fraternity. Congress leader and Chamkaur Sahib MLA Charanjeet Singh Channi said he did not trust the Punjab Police and demanded a CBI probe into the incident.
