Phillaur : A Nurmahal woman who had been living in the Philippines for the past 20 years was shot dead near Manila on Friday morning. The victim, Neelam, belonging to Quilla Mohalla in Nurmahal, was riding pillion with her domestic help on a motorcycle when two unidentified assailants shot at her.

London : An 80-year-old Sikh, who was punched in the face and shoved to the ground by a teenaged girl in Coventry on August 10, has died, the police said today. Joginder Singh from Canley was hospitalised following the brutal attack.
